## Tools.ftp.BaseFTPClient


Provide shared connection management for FTP clients.


Usage

Tools.ftp.BaseFTPClient(
    ftpsite, user, password, keepalive=False, debug_lvl=0, timeout=600.0
)
```

Connect to an FTP server with the supplied credentials.


Usage

__init__(ftpsite, user, password, keepalive=False, debug_lvl=0, timeout=600.0)
```


##### Parameters


`ftpsite: str`  
Host name of the FTP server.

`user: str`  
User name used to log in.

`password: str`  
Password used to log in.

`keepalive: bool = ``False`  
Whether to periodically keep the connection active.

`debug_lvl: int = ``0`  
Verbosity level for the FTP connection.

`timeout: float = ``600.0`  
Socket timeout in seconds.
